Second Annual Centralia Autumn Fest 5K Run/Walk
The second annual Centralia Autumn Fest 5K Run will be held on Sept. 11 at 8 a.m. The roads will not be blocked to through traffic so drivers are advised to be cautious that morning due to the runners. ESDA will be at some of the intersections directing traffic, as well as volunteers at various streets. A large number of runners will be coming in from out of town and will not be familiar with the area. Citizens of Centralia are encouraged to come out and stand along the race course to offer support.
The Centralia Autumn Fest 5K course will begin on the parking lot of St. Mary School / Church. Participants will run south down the alley to Second St., proceed down Second St. to Lincoln St., crossing over to Third St. At Third St. and Perrine the course will continue south down Perrine to Calumet St. They will turn east on Calumet and proceed to Meadowbrook, then go north on Meadowbrook to Frazier. The course then turns west on Frazier to Pleasant, crossing over and staying on Frazier until Perrine. The route continues north on Perrine to Third St., run west on Third to Lincoln, cross over to Second, to the alley, and back up to the St. Mary School / Church parking lot to the finish line.
The 5K Run / Walk begins at 8 a.m. and will last approximately one hour. The Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m. For more information go to www.stmarycentralia 5k.com.
